The Research Division houses a diverse variety of Inquisition efforts both magical and mundane, investigating things Inquisition agents encounter in their missions and experimenting with innovative methods to assist them. This may include anything from identifying and classifying new medicinal plants to preserving ancient manuscripts to inventing new types of magical grenades, and everything in between.

Rest assured that neither the Elven Artifacts nor Rifts & the Veil projects are planning expeditions within the next month or so that would take you away from even the Gallows. There will be no interference.

The threat posed to the safety of Inquisition members is credible enough that we consider this an appropriate measure. Kirkwall has a long and bloody history. She is a city accustomed to being invaded. Once we assure the general population that we are no threat, the reins will be loosened. Until then, they are for the safety of the members of the Inquisition.

P.S. I understand you may be accustomed to taking care of yourself. Any mistakes you make will, by virtue of the shard in your hand, be attributed to us as a whole. And whilst you may be able to defend yourself, others may not.

My humblest of apologies - you seem to have mistaken my meaning. I was not referring to my work in the Inquisition, but rather my customers.

You see, many of them are more active in the evening hours and require a certain degree of discretion.

If this is merely a short term solution then it is certainly tolerable. I am not wholly ignorant of the balance you must keep. However, one may find that such separation will only lead to more speculation and intolerance if continued too long. I hope our esteemed leaders find an alternative before then.

Until we bank the recent unease caused by my own elevation, we have serious concerns as to Rifters alone on the street of Kirkwall after dark.
