↠ Reports↠ Inbox
The Research Division houses a diverse variety of Inquisition efforts both magical and mundane, investigating things Inquisition agents encounter in their missions and experimenting with innovative methods to assist them. This may include anything from identifying and classifying new medicinal plants to preserving ancient manuscripts to inventing new types of magical grenades, and everything in between.

Proposal 1.

Provost Thrandruil,

This is the first of several proposed projects I want to start under the Research Division. As it has to do with our current predicament dealing with phylacteries, I've put it before the others.

During the - no other word for it - outcry of rage - I spoke privately to my friend Maedros about how I strongly think he should not acquiesce to this. This is notably because we do not know what sort of effects phylacteries will have on people who are attached directly to the Fade. This led me to wonder if we could use other items as trackers - not just for the Rifters but for all members of the Inquisition.

It was then I spoke with the Mage Myrobalan, who is a well respected mage of the Inquisition. He told me there was already a project with the sending crystals, and asked me if I wanted to join. I agreed, immediately, and then asked to write the proposal itself.

I believe we can modify the sending crystals to be able to act as beacons for all Inquisition agents. I also believe we can do this without using blood magic, whatsoever. As I am a member of Rifts and Veils, and this was assigned to us, I would like permission, under the supervision of Myrobalan, to further research this option before the use of phylacteries is put into place.

Thank you,

Mal Draco
