SUBJECT: Aboat A Bouy PARTICIPANTS: Freddie Durfort-Lacapalette, Jehan Mercier, Marcoulf de Ricart, Val de Foncé DATE FILED: Justinian 9:44 STATUS: Complete SUMMARY: A group of Chantry clerics specialising in research and the discovery of historical artifacts required a protective escort as they sail from Jader to Treviso. Nobody important died.
REPORT:
Dear Knight-Enchanter Amsel,
The Chantry personnel and the artifacts have been delivered intact, save for perhaps their nerves. We were fortunate to be boarded only once by pirates, who I believe gave up quicker than they might have otherwise when they realized what our cargo was. It is valuable, of course, but nothing you can eat or too easily sell. The Sisters and their accompanying Brother asked me to extend to you their sincerest gratitude. I know that it was sincere because they insisted on telling me so despite their seasickness and mild terror.
Marcoulf de Ricart, a recent arrival, conducted himself admirably, and I do not think my opinion of Baroness Dufort-Lacapalette and Monsieur de Foncé has ever been in question. We did nearly lose de Ricart to a squid, and the Baroness to the sea. Monsieur de Foncé was stabbed, but not seriously. He will make a full recovery, I am certain, though the recovery may be hasted by your prayers and well wishes.
