Former Division Head, Ambassador Gweddyn Trask: An ambitious man in his mid-30s, Trask is a commoner cousin of the Bann of West Hill and eager to make a name for himself with the Inquisition. He's said to have played a significant role in convincing the Fereldan court not to protest the Inquisition's incursions into the east. Though indisputably silvertongued, he has a bad habit of biting off more than he can chew and a worse habit of blaming it on others. He's extraordinarily arrogant, so convinced of his own brilliance and so desperate for others to acknowledge it that he's prone to eschewing simple solutions in favor of unnecessarily elaborate schemes, and of weaving webs of lies and deceptions that may make him seem brilliant in the short-term, but are bound to eventually blow up on him.

He was replaced by Mme de Cedoux in the role when they eventually did.
